Obituary

David Bocar “Bo” Richardson passed away on Earth Day, Sunday, April 22nd, 2018. Bo loved Mother Earth and enjoyed being outdoors, connecting with people, and being of service. Bo aspired to be a Park Ranger and earned college credits by attending the National Outdoor Leadership School in the summers, trekking and canoeing through The Yukon and the mountains of Wyoming. He was a student at Austin Community College. Bo also enjoyed making music, poetry slams, hiking, swimming, cooking, Scrabble, travel, and most of all, spending time with friends and family.

We will remember Bo’s mischievous, easy smile and the sparkle in his eyes.  He was a thoughtful person who made friends easily and keeping in touch with his loved ones was a priority. Bo ended even the shortest conversation with “I love you.”

One of Bo’s favorite songs was “Rocket Man.” As Bo travels on his timeless flight, he leaves behind his parents David K. Richardson and Kathryn Holt Richardson, brothers Brandon and Miles Richardson, stepmother Lynn Richardson and her sister Judy Jackson and her family, stepsiblings Jasmine Pierre’Auguste and Xavier Pierre’Auguste, grandmother Dr. Barbara Blayton Richardson, grandfather Joseph P. Holt and his wife Dr. Alyson Beausoleil-Holt, grandmother Carol Masters and her husband Charles Masters, Dr. Alden Jackson, Dr. Lisa Jackson, Coleman and Cleo Jackson, Joseph P. Holt, Jr. and his wife Pam, Kim, Reuben and Stephen Spence, cousins Anita and Imani Dabney and Ashton and Jennifer Cumberbatch and their children Virginia, Graham, Elizabeth, and Ben, close family friends Sheila Turner and Chayo Balderas. He follows his grandfather Dr. George G. Richardson (deceased).

We will celebrate his life with an outdoor reception and, in lieu of flowers, the family requests that you consider a donation to The National Outdoor Leadership School. www.nols.edu
